Circular Economy Strategies and Statements

We have been at the forefront of developing site and development level resource efficiency strategies, tools, guidance, publications and action plans. Initially, the focus was on specifications for public and private procurement. Now the focus has shifted to circular economy strategies and developing circular economy statements as required, for example, in the London Plan.

Pre-Demolition and Refurbishment Audits

We provide audits which meet the requirements of international sustainability standards, and are also needed in support of planning and other client requirements. Where possible, audits are undertaken in collaboration with the design team and demolition/refurbishment contractors, to ensure that the opportunity to maximise material reuse and high grade recycling is maximised.

Site Waste Management Plans (SWMP) and Operational Waste Management Plans (OWMP)

We can provide SWMPs and OWMPs to help meet planning requirements and the requirements of BREEAM and similar sustainability standards. These will help you manage construction waste on-site and in-situ and reduce waste disposal costs and time.

Technical Expert and Policy Support

Our team is well equipped to provide dedicated, expert support for policy development – gathering and analysing data, and providing insight and recommendations. We provide expert input to sustainable development projects on an international basis, transferring knowledge, best practice and capacity building. We help transition to better resource use.

Bespoke Advice and Consultancy

We are highly experienced in the development and delivery of bespoke projects and activities relating to expert circular economy and broader sustainability advice & support within the built environment. For clients wishing to push forward effectively on their priorities and opportunities, it is often necessary to scope and develop specific programmes of work. As such, we are always open and enthusiastic to discuss challenges, develop ideas and possible solutions, respond to tenders, and generally collaborate with others.

R&D, Innovation and Stakeholder Engagement

Having been involved in developing, leading and delivering numerous research-based tasks and projects, the team is very familiar with R&D and innovation work, such as Innovate UK and EU Horizon 2020. This includes developing proposals and consortia from outline through to fully detailed stages, leading projects and work packages, technical expert input and supporting project outcome exploitation, dissemination and publication of outputs, and stakeholder engagement/ awareness raising.
